More thesis congratulations—this time to Katherine Acosta. She defended her thesis, “Motivation and the Role of Religious Participation in the Lives of Latino immigrants in Two Rural Cities in Kansas: A Comparative Case Study of Garden City and Syracuse,” on June 6th, receiving honors for the project from her committee. And we wish her well as she heads to UC Santa Barbara to start her PhD work in cultural anthropology. Congratulations!

A story of job search success for MAIS student Prashanthi Bonthu: Prashanthi has been on the job market while working on her thesis, and has been hired on at Embarq in the wholesale business unit as a project/program manager I. It’s part of Embarq’s Management Development Program. Congratulations, Prashanthi!

A hearty congratulations to Chris Carey on the successful defense of his thesis on May 23. His project, "The Ideological Foundation of Osama Bin Laden," earned honors from his committee. Way to go, Chris!
